My Approach
My dog is absolutely perfect except for…
Hello! My name’s Annie. I have trained thousands of dogs with behavioural problems ranging from aggression to severe separation anxiety. If you’re looking for practical, kind and modern 121 dog training then I can help!
So, the question most people ask is what’s the process? For behavioural work we start with an initial 1-2-1 Behavioural Consultation in your home. This allows me to properly assess your dog, get a history of the behaviour and understand your goals. From here we discuss how we will be working together to modify this behaviour, with demonstrations and a training plan. Whats also important to me is that you receive an understanding of the psychology underpinning these behaviours.
After this first session you will practice the training methods that have been shown to you. I’ll let you know if it will be necessary to arrange a follow-up after about two weeks of you practising the techniques. In cases of general obedience training we will work together until you feel your dog is at the level you’re happy with, whereas when solving ‘problem behaviours’ (dog reactivity, separation anxiety, barking in the house etc.) we may just need one or two sessions.
As a CFBA Certified Canine Behaviourist most insurers will allow cover Behavioural Session fees– please check with your insurer or get in touch with me for further information on this.
I am based in Buckhurst Hill, Essex. I can easily reach most of the M11 corridor including Loughton, Epping, Hertford, Harlow, Bishops Stortford, Saffron Walden and North London. I often cover Cambridge, London & Kent also- please get in touch to check!
