Online Consultations

Online Consultations.

Around 60% of sessions that I run now are done so remotely (usually via zoom). Online sessions allow us to cover a variety of behavioural problems and training solutions, at a very reduced rate.

These sessions last for approximately an hour and I charge £55 for the session.

The most common behaviour I help with via online training is Separation Anxiety.

I can determine for you whether the problem that you’re facing can be solved through an online consultation by asking you about your dog over a brief phone call. Here I will assess the severity of the problem, as well as your knowledge and skill set in order to determine if this is a problem I can help you solve remotely.

Behaviours I have helped with through this service include: Separation anxiety, Toilet training, mouthing/nipping, excessive barking, anxiety, desensitisation to specific phobias and picky eaters!

This is great option for people who want to use my services but aren’t in my area, or even just people who have a minor problem and want a cost effective solution as soon as possible. Often I have old clients come back to use this service when a new behaviour they’re not sure of crops up and they want to check they’re dealing with it appropriately.

What makes me different to traditional dog training?

To me, there is nothing better than enhancing the relationship between owner and dog. Allowing people to better enjoy and deepen their relationship with pets is my ultimate work. From obedience training to dealing with challenging or aggressive cases, strengthening the bond between canine and humans is always the end goal.

In most cases of misbehaving dogs, it can be a simple case of miscommunication between owner and pet, with my expertise and guidance I can help turn things around and help build lasting relationships with your dog.

Traditional methods of dog training teach that we must forcefully dominate our pets, constantly asserting ourselves as Alpha. Whilst it is important to practice leadership, I believe in a consistently patient and calm approach that allows dogs to recognise me as the pack leader. With the correct knowledge and tools, you can do this too.

Central to my teachings is the importance of first listening to what the dog has to say. As a detached observer I am often able to pinpoint the stressor triggering the dog’s unwanted behaviour. From here, plan an achievable course of action for to renew a loving obedient relationship.
