Aggression in dogs is the most serious of behavioral problems with the consequences being potentially life-threatening – both for owner and animal. Understanding what is motivating this type of behavior is absolutely integral to understanding how to solve the problem, we must first listen to the dog in order to help it.
Dogs can be classified as aggressive due to a range of reasons: Fear, Territoriality, Frustration and Leaked prey drive- to just name a few.
In such sensitive cases, it is important to gain a holistic understanding of exactly why the dog is reactive, its individual triggers and ways we can predict aggressive behaviour. From this, I will tailor a plan specific to the dog’s needs, allowing you to communicate at an animal level this behavior is unnecessary and unwanted.
