Toilet training is one of the most common problems I am called in to address. Together, we can have your puppy toilet trained far quicker than you’d imagine. Why?
House training is most commonly a problem for younger puppies, but can affect dogs at any age. Every case is different, but can always be treated with my simple step by step plan. Here, we work together to find the source of the issue to first prevent the ‘accidents’ indoors. Often there is simple little to no understanding from the dog that inside and outside are distinct area , one being a toilet and one not.
How?
We work together to build strong habits and eliminate the chance for there to be any accidents during the training process by managing the dogs access. I then teach you how to associate a marker word with the behaviour of going to the toilet in the right place and reward this behaviour.
There are so many little tips and tricks that help to speed up this process of ensuring your dog is learning where is and isn’t appropriate to relieve itself. The dog needs to be kept on a regular schedule that I help you to create.

It is important to always remember that no dog naturally wants to go to the toilet in the same area it lives and sleeps. By recognising the subtle shifts in behaviour and body language we can predict when to move outside and help our dogs to learn more quickly. I am based between two separate locations where I split my time equally- Buckhurst Hill, Essex, and also Newcastle.
